Welcome to MPA business partners!

Dear business associate,

From 1991 to 2011, MPA was a highly successful marketing organization, large-scale importer and Europe-wide distributor of non-food products in bulk. Our company headquarters are based in Bregenz, Austria, near the borders with Germany and Switzerland.

Since 2011, MPA has focused exclusively on acting as a marketing consultant on both strategy and practical matters for manufacturers in the Far East and for European retailers.

European retailers and manufacturers benefits from our 30 years’ experience when searching for alternative production sites in the Far East, with the aim of achieving a better cost-benefit ratio. In just a short period of time, they can significantly improve their competitiveness both in terms of quality and price.

For Asia-based manufacturers, MPA develops a European marketing strategy to help them achieve tangible, successful results with European bulk buyers more quickly.

MPA’s consulting activities focus on high-quality non-food products, with the exception of electric, electronic and textile products or toys. MPA does not work with so-called ‘me-too’ products that do not adhere to its low standards of quality.

MPA has seen particular success with its new, innovative non-food products. Which is why MPA prefers to link up with business partners looking to sell innovative products with diverse intellectual property rights (whether patents, utility models and/or design rights) in bulk in Europe. MPA is always striving to be innovative itself and is therefore skilled at helping innovative products like these become successful. By collaborating with MPA, you can expect drive, efficiency and extraordinary successful sales.

We urge anyone interested in taking immediate action to achieve ambitious goals to get in touch with us . If you would like to know more about MPA and Europe, read on.

Marketing-Magazin Europe interview of 28 February 2012, with Mr. E. Neuner und Mr. Kristavcnik of MPA
MM: What prompted you to shift your entire focus to marketing consulting in April 2011?

MPA/HKR: We wanted to achieve the unachievable for our customers. We take product ideas and help the manufacturer sell them directly to Europe’s largest bulk buyers, such as discount retailers, in enormous quantities. As a marketing consulting company, we can focus on our practical strengths and no longer have to worry about bureaucratic, everyday tasks.

MM: Why should discount retailers contract you when they have in-house experts for imports, etc.?

MPA/HKR: Because over the course of our work with these large companies, which spans more than 20 years, we have helped them make many promising products a success. In addition, our customers have come to appreciate our proven approach to international marketing, which is powered by professionalism, expertise and end-to-end service.

MM: You always highlight the fact that MPA is only interested in helping innovative products become a success. Why is that?

MPA/HKR: Over the past 20 years, our large customers have come to expect exclusively innovative products from MPA, because unique products guarantee success in every respect. Even manufacturers in the Far East now know that “me-too” products won’t fetch a good price. MPA advises manufacturers on developing and implementing new, innovative products – and arranges for them to apply for intellectual property rights, to avoid replicas being made.

MM: Have any of these large customers ever had a bad experience when working with MPA?

MPA/HKR: MPA has carried out around 1,200 projects with these companies in the last 20 years – and there were only three projects where all stakeholders were not 100% satisfied with the results. That doesn’t mean MPA is perfect – but a drop-out rate of around 0.25% is really impressive, and provides a basis for a trusting business relationship.

MM: In light of the MPA success story, why didn’t you want to continue your activities as an importer and distributor?

MPA/HKR: Our experience showed that bulk buyers understandably wanted to work directly with manufacturers, rather than co-financing middle men such as importers and distributors with fairly high margins.

MM: If the bulk buyers are liaising directly with manufacturers, aren’t MPA’s services superfluous?

MPA/HKR: It might seem so at first glance – but after more than 30 years in the industry, MPA has formed close relationships with the best-known manufacturers of non-food products in the Far East. And these manufacturers value MPA’s advice and support, even if they are supplying products directly to customers. Bulk buyers also stand to benefit from MPA’s decades of experience in the Far East because we can help minimize general, everyday risks.

MM: Do you have any reference customers you can cite from your marketing consulting projects?

MPA/HKR: Yes, several – but, for obvious reasons, we’re not at liberty to name them.

MM: Are MPA marketing consulting services affordable?

MPA/HKR: Yes, because until now MPA has always managed to secure large orders with European bulk buyers (discount retailers) within four to six months. In order to achieve this, MPA needs approximately 15-25 consulting days over a period of up to six months, at standard marketing consulting rates. In all our previous projects, the customer has achieved a return on investment with the first large orders.
